It doesn’t get any better. Chet was truly gifted and, like a previous commenter said, he played straight from the heart- even more amazing when you consider he was a drug addict most of his adult life. This is why I hate drugs .

Maybe other people gave Miles credit for this song. That can happen in the music world.

I’ve had this album since it first came out. Powerful every time I hear it. Wonderful all star cast of musicians accompanying him. Woody was a masterful trumpet player. He was very much underrated.

Very 1980s L.A. I enjoyed it... but after Marsalis hit and kind of formulized this stuff, everyone fled from California to the east coast and then, jazz pretty much was removed from the general public's spotlight. Jazz overreached and then... fell short.
